Hello!
My name is Vanessa Maldonado. I was born in Los Angeles, CA and am number 6 of 8 siblings. I spent my primary school years in Koreatown (still one of my favorite neighborhoods in the city) and later Mid-City, very close to where I live now. I’ve been shooting since I was a freshman in HS, and back then fell in love with the hours lost playing in the darkroom. I still love film but transitioned to digital back in 2006. I shoot events, families, weddings, graduates, and portraits.
My favorite things to capture are in between moments, the moments that show connection and interaction, and a bit of the story of who you are. My greatest goal is to share your beauty with the world.
I have an incredible partner (who occasionally works alongside me on shoots) and a 6-year old who rule my world!
